This page explains how the text this site produces behaves in practice. The Terms of Use cover the rules for using the site.
Characters, not fonts
What you copy from the generators is a string of Unicode characters that look styled. No font file is downloaded or installed, and the text is not formatted: pasting it somewhere gives that app plain characters.
It can look different from one device to another
Each phone, computer and app draws the same characters with its own fonts. A style may have slightly different spacing or shapes, and an older device may show empty boxes or question marks for characters it does not have. Emoji look different on Apple, Google, Microsoft and Samsung devices. Check the result in the place where it will be seen.
Some fields will not accept it
Platforms decide what their fields allow, and some reject unusual characters. A platform can also change its rules or filter styled text without notice. We cannot promise that any text will be accepted.
Screen readers and search
Screen readers may read styled characters as long symbol names, such as “mathematical bold capital A”, skip them or read them differently from one program to the next. Search, translation and spell check may not recognise them either. Keep important information, such as dates, prices and contact details, in plain text.
Character counts
The count shown on this site is the number of visible characters. A platform may count differently, because many styled letters take more than one unit of storage and symbols and emoji can count as several. Use the platform’s own counter before you rely on a limit.
Not connected to the platforms
Copy Paste Fonts is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Discord, X, WhatsApp or any other platform or company. Their names are used only to say where text can be pasted, and they belong to their owners.
Guides
The guides are general information, written from public documentation such as the Unicode standard and each platform’s help pages. Their examples are illustrations, not test results for every device and app. Platform features and rules change, so check a platform’s help pages for the current details.
